歌川芳藤仮名手本忠臣双六

枡のひとつひとつに『仮名手本忠臣蔵』の人物を配し、中央の「上り」に討ち入り後の海辺を置いた絵双六。
遊ぶための一枚摺で、子どもが人物の名と場面を覚えながら進める。歌川芳藤（1828〜1887）は国芳の門下で、こうしたおもちゃ絵や組上絵を丁寧に作ったことから「おもちゃ芳藤」と呼ばれた。おもちゃ絵は遊んで消える消耗品なので、残っているものはごく少ない。この双六は国立国会図書館にある。

歌川芳藤
歌川芳藤（1828〜1887）は「おもちゃ絵の芳藤」と呼ばれた。歌川国芳門下に学びながら、錦絵の主戦場である役者絵や武者絵ではなく、子供の手に渡る一枚——切って組み立てる組上絵、着せ替え、双六、そして猫尽くしの戯画——に生涯を捧げた絵師である。
