春江斎北英
道頓堀の芝居小屋で役者が見得を切る——その一瞬を大判の紙面に閉じ込めた絵師がいる。春江斎北英、のちに春梅斎北英と号した大坂の上方浮世絵師である。生没年ははっきりせず、天保8年（1837年）に世を去ったとだけ伝わる。筆をとったのは文政11年（1828年）頃から没年までのわずか九年ほど。
