歌川国貞（三代目歌川豊国）
幕末の江戸で「浮世絵師」と言えば、まずこの人を指した。歌川国貞（1786〜1865）、のちの三代目豊国。生涯の作画量は一万点をゆうに超えるとされ、質はともかく量において、浮世絵史上に並ぶ者はいない。本所五ツ目の渡船場の株を持つ家に生まれ、十代で初代歌川豊国に入門。若くして役者絵の似顔の巧さで頭角を現した。 真骨頂は役者絵である。
