狩野永徳
狩野永徳は、織田信長の安土城や豊臣秀吉の大坂城・聚楽第の障壁画を、一門を率いて描いた。城とともに大半の絵は失われたが、《唐獅子図屏風》《檜図屏風》と《上杉本洛中洛外図屏風》が、大画から細画までの仕事の幅を伝えている。 天文12年（1543年）、京都で絵師の狩野松栄の長男として生まれた。祖父は狩野派の基礎を築いた狩野元信で、幼いころから直接絵を学んだとされる。
