勝川春亭
勝川春亭は、三枚の版画を横につないだ大きな画面に、武者の戦いを描いた江戸後期の浮世絵師である。本の挿絵も数多く手がけたが、仕事の順番をめぐって戯作者に3年間絶交されたこともある。 師は勝川春英。同門の勝川春扇と並び、春英門下の双璧とされる。役者絵や美人画も描いたが、仕事の量では、読本や合巻などの挿絵が錦絵をはるかに上回った。
