三代目歌川広重
三代目歌川広重は、自分では「三代目」を名乗らなかった絵師だ。初代広重の名を継いで「二代広重」と称し、明治の東京や横浜に現れた汽車や煉瓦街を錦絵に描いた。鉄道の開通を描いた錦絵の数は、絵師の中でいちばん多いとされる。 天保13年（1842年）、江戸の深川に船大工の子として生まれ、寅吉と名づけられた。
