カミーユ・ピサロ
生まれはカリブ海、デンマーク領だったサン・トマ島。港町の商家に育ち、少年時代に見た熱帯の光と市場の賑わいが、のちの絵筆に染みついている。二十代でパリに出てコローに学び、クールベの実直な写実にも惹かれたが、ピサロが選んだのはアトリエではなく戸外だった。
