魚屋北渓
四谷鮫ヶ橋に、母里藩主松平志摩守家の御用を務める一軒の魚屋があった。主人は岩窪辰行、通称を初五郎、のちに金右衛門と改めた男である。魚を捌く手で筆を執り、その屋号をそのまま画号としたのが、江戸後期の浮世絵師・魚屋北渓（ととやほっけい、1780年〜1850年）だ。拱斎・葵岡・葵園とも号している。
