水野年方

水野年方（1866〜1908）は、月岡芳年の門下から出て、浮世絵と日本画のあいだに橋を架けた絵師である。十代で芳年に入門し、師譲りの歴史画の骨法を、血の気を抜いた端正な線に組み替えた。 生計の主軸は挿絵だった。『やまと新聞』の挿絵画家として市井の物語に絵を付け、口絵の名手として尾崎紅葉ら硯友社の小説を彩った。
